On its last mission Atlantis will haul the Raffaello multipurpose logistics module and the Robotic Refueling Mission to the International Space Station. Raffaello is loaded with critical space parts, logistics, science experiments and crew supplies that will keep the orbiting outpost running for about a year.

I think it's a surprise for people when they find out that scanning their entire photo collection is less about being a technical chore as it is a time of investigation and discovery. You start out digitizing photos you are familiar with. You know everything about them because not only are you in the photos, but you were there!

There's no better way of realizing how impressive this feature is than when you start scanning your non-digital photos and find out not only will you often not know the exact month and year (let alone day) these photos were taken back then, but it's ultimately your responsibility to make sure this shoot date is somehow attached to your new scan!

If you haven't started scanning your collection yet, and you didn't catch what I said before, let me be clearer here. More than likely, you will have a lot of photos in your collection that need to have the date the photo was taken identified anywhere on the print, negative, or slide. And worse, you may have no idea how to begin figuring them out.

For example, if you have narrowed down a set of photos to have been taken in either July or August of a particular year, it's not in your photos' best interest to guess August until you are completely sure it's not July. If you were to type in August now and revisit this file next year, you would assume it's a fact this photo was taken in August because, more than likely, you won't remember your uncertainty.

Your photos are great!! Yuzuru had done so well in GPF!! May I have your permisson to set them as my Facebook cover? Of course I will mention you as creator and also the link. Thank you!!Hope Yuzuru will get recover soon:(

1. A good reference photograph can take an artist to any location in the world without leaving home. Sometimes artists do not have the means to travel to faraway or exotic places to paint a particular area or location. And for others, it might not be possible to go out on location day after day with a canvas, easel, and paint box in tow. Reference photos make it easier for the painter to go anywhere without having to travel there. They are also a convenient way to avoid having to brave the elements in some cases.

Ever since the camera was first invented, many famous painters whom you will recognize have used photographs to paint from. Such renowned artists include Edgar Degas, Paul Cezanne, Paul Gauguin, Pablo Picasso, Toulouse Lautrec, and Vincent Van Gogh, to name but a handful. If you use reference photos too, this puts you in excellent company.

Interest in digital photos is not surprising. Most of the questions we get at NDIIPP personal-digital-archiving presentations are related to digital photos. The webinar questions about storage were also not surprising; with the variety of available digital storage options and the uncertainty about their reliability, storage can be a perplexing topic.

When modifying digital photos, never modify the original. Always make a copy and modify the copy. You can compress copies for upload or delete copies if you are not happy with the results. Be careful to save the copy with a different name than the original; otherwise it will overwrite and replace the original.

Does adding metadata affect the photo file? If you add descriptive information using particular software, will any other software enable you to view that information or is it all proprietary? Are there any open-source options for adding metadata?

Despite being just as gorgeous as the front, it seems 95% of Cinderella Castle photos are of the front. Here, I framed the photo so that my wide angle lens made the tree and outer edge of the castle converge upon one another.

I love reading your posts and your photos are amazing ! I want to buy them and frame them and put them up in my home !I am a travel consultant in Australia and I tell my clients some of the best advice thanks to you !

Our adversaries look to exploit gaps in our intelligence and information security networks. The FBI is committed to working with our federal counterparts, our foreign partners, and the private sector to close those gaps.

These partnerships allow us to defend networks, attribute malicious activity, sanction bad behavior, and take the fight to our adversaries overseas. The FBI fosters this team approach through unique hubs where government, industry, and academia form long-term trusted relationships to combine efforts against cyber threats.

Within government, that hub is the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force (NCIJTF). The FBI leads this task force of more than 30 co-located agencies from the Intelligence Community and law enforcement. The NCIJTF is organized around mission centers based on key cyber threat areas and led by senior executives from partner agencies. Through these mission centers, operations and intelligence are integrated for maximum impact against U.S. adversaries.

Whether through developing innovative investigative techniques, using cutting-edge analytic tools, or forging new partnerships in our communities, the FBI continues to adapt to meet the challenges posed by the evolving cyber threat.

Threats from the Iranian regime and its terrorist partners are far reaching. The FBI is committed to identifying and disrupting all Iranian intelligence and military operations that threaten American citizens or our nation's security and critical infrastructure.

In a Nutshell: I visited North Korea in late 2014 and over 16 days ventured to all corners of this mysterious nation on one of the longest itineraries ever executed for foreigners. Here are 100 photos (part 1) taken during this visit to North Korea.

I decided I was going to first take a wide angle photograph of the landscape, then take numerous photos of the moon at different stages with a telephoto lens. I would then combine them in Perfect Photo Suite 8 to create a composite photograph that visually represented what occurred naturally, but with an artistic spin.

According to MrEclipse.com the partial eclipse was to begin at 10:58pm. Shortly after 10:00pm I left my RV and walked out into the desert to photograph my saguaro scene under the moonlight. Being very familiar with this area I had an idea of where I wanted to photograph from already, and it took just a few minutes to settle on a composition. 041b061a72
