How to Restore Your HTC One X to Stock ROM with RUU Zip

How to Restore Your HTC One X to Stock ROM with RUU Zip

If you have rooted your HTC One X or installed a custom ROM on it, you might want to go back to the stock ROM for some reasons. Maybe you want to sell your device, or you need to send it for warranty, or you just miss the original features and performance of your phone. Whatever the reason, you can easily restore your HTC One X to stock ROM with RUU zip.

Htc One X Stock Ruu Zip

RUU stands for ROM Update Utility, and it is a tool that allows you to flash the official firmware on your HTC device. RUU zip is a compressed file that contains the RUU executable and the ROM image. You can use RUU zip to flash the stock ROM on your HTC One X without using a computer.

However, before you proceed, you need to know some important things:

  • You need to have an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery installed on your HTC One X. If you don't have them, you can follow this guide: [ROM] HTC One X *STOCK* ROM 4.18.401.3 Jelly Bean HTC Sense 5.0 XDA Forums

  • You need to download the correct RUU zip for your device model and region. You can find the RUU zip files for different variants of HTC One X here: flash stock ruu on htc one x XDA Forums

  • You need to backup your data before flashing the RUU zip, as it will wipe everything on your phone.

  • You need to have enough battery charge on your phone, at least 50%.

  • You need to follow the steps carefully and at your own risk. We are not responsible for any damage or data loss that may occur.

Now that you are ready, here are the steps to restore your HTC One X to stock ROM with RUU zip:

  • Copy the RUU zip file to the root of your external SD card. Do not extract it or rename it.

  • Turn off your phone and boot into bootloader mode by holding down the Volume Down and Power buttons together.

  • Use the Volume buttons to navigate and select "Recovery" from the bootloader menu. Press the Power button to confirm.

  • Once you are in recovery mode, select "Install zip from sdcard" and then "Choose zip from sdcard".

  • Browse and select the RUU zip file that you copied earlier. Confirm by swiping the slider at the bottom.

  • The flashing process will begin and may take several minutes. Do not interrupt or turn off your phone during this process.

  • When the flashing is done, reboot your phone by selecting "Reboot system now".

  • Your phone will boot into stock ROM and may take some time to initialize. You may also see some warnings about tampered or unlocked bootloader, which you can ignore.

Congratulations! You have successfully restored your HTC One X to stock ROM with RUU zip. You can now enjoy the original features and performance of your phone, or sell it or send it for warranty without any issues. e0e6b7cb5c
